If you are like me, you are going to have to teach a FULL 5 days this week. Yikes! That snow day last week sure was nice. Here are some fun St. Patrick's Day quick clips you could play this week for brain breaks, lessons or even transitions. Topics include: writing limericks, skip counting, idioms, parts of speech, fluency, comprehension, using transition words, following directions and many more!

This first one is a song that has some great information about St. Patrick and St. Patrick's Day:
The next video is a super cute skip counting song about counting gold coins. Counts by 1s, 2s, and 5s!

The third video is a song that has the lyrics scrolling up the screen that the kids can read while they sing along. Great fluency practice!

The fourth video has TONS of information about St. Patrick's Day. I like this video because the information flashes in complete sentences at the bottom of the screen. This would be a great video for students to take notes when viewing. Many concepts are touched upon in this video: idioms, parts of speech, symbols, etc.
The fifth video is a QUICK How to Make a Four Leaf Clover out of paper tutorial. This would be great to do and then write about using TRANSITION words.

I LOVE this next song that teaches students how to write a limerick:
