This week I started teaching my explorers unit. The 4 explorers I will focus on are: Columbus, Ponce de Leon, Cartier and Newport. I began with Christopher Columbus. My kids had so much fun with the Interactive Explorer Map website that traces the routes for various explorers. Check it out:
