Classroom Cribs: Episode 1

Did you ever watch the MTV Cribs television show that featured tours of celebrities' homes? Well, here is our version of MTV Cribs that we are calling CLASSROOM CRIBS in which second grade teacher, Mary Ledford, takes me on a tour of some AMAZING elementary classrooms to check out their various setups. Everything from flexible seating options, technology storage and adorable displays are highlighted. I was blown away!

I know I love scrolling through Pinterest and reading blog posts that contain pictures of teachers' classrooms. This Classroom Cribs tour was hands down the highlight of my week! A special thanks to Mary and her principal, Michelle, for sharing their learning spaces to help give teachers around the world even more incredible ideas that they can bring to their own classrooms. Also, a HUGE thank you goes to the teachers who invited us into their classroom crib👊

You will hear us mention that some of the teachers received certain items for their classroom through Donor's Choose. Now is an excellent time to write a Donor's Choose proposal for resources you might need for next year. Did you hear Ripple recently funded EVERY SINGLE PROJECT on Donor's Choose? You just never know!

Enjoy!

  1. Wow! Such great ideas! These are such warm happy learning spaces. I'm curious, how many students are in each classroom?

    1. Right?!!! I was so impressed! I believe they average around 22-26 students per classroom. I know that the very first 2nd grade classroom currently has 24 :)
