WHAT ARE PHET SIMULATIONS?
PhET simulations are free research-based science and mathematics resources that can run online or can be downloaded to your computer. Learning comes alive when students interact and manipulate these colorful simulations. These interactive and animated digital resources allow students to explore and make connections that help aid their scientific and mathematical thinking.

PhET simulations can be used on any device thanks to HTML 5. However, the iPad app costs 99 cents and can be found HERE. An Android app is also available for download HERE.

Nearpod Integration
Back in September PhET and Nearpod created a partnership. The simulations now integrate with the Nearpod platform and students can interact with the PhET activities within a Nearpod lesson. When you create a lesson, click on Add Content and PhET Simulation can be found under that category. You can use them with both the free and paid versions of Nearpod. Be sure to check out the Nearpod blog where several of us have been adding posts about different ways to use this tool in the classroom.
