Read and Write Chrome Extension: AWESOME!
Tuesday, January 28, 2014
If you have any struggling, dyslexic, ESL/ELL students or maybe students who are at the beginning stages of reading and writing, then you NEED to check out this Chrome extension I just learned about the other day at the RVA Unconference.
What does this fabulous extension do?
-Reads aloud texts with dual highlighting
-Dictionary and Picture Dictionary look ups for big vocabulary terms
-Word Prediction to help with spelling when typing stories/sentences
-Translator translates words into other languages (great for ESL/EL students!)
-Color code with 4 different highlighter colors
-And more!
You will have access to ALL of these tools for 30 days. Once the 30 days is up, you will still be able to use the following tools:
-Read web and Google Docs aloud with dual highlighting
-Translate words and change translation language
-Change voice and voice speed
Here is the extension in action:
